Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was a natural athlete and discovered her love to sprint in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial time she tried out the sport, she finished 2nd in the 200m race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003 signed an agreement with Adidas. After that, she attended at the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Her first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record running 200m in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, she became the world's youngest champion in 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, beating her former Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed at the top of the podium in her various competitions at the Olympics that took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
